Dear Me, Keep Being Saucy and Real

On staying authentically you in a world obsessed with polish

Sometimes you need to write yourself a love letter.

Not the kind LinkedIn suggests for "engagement points." Not the AI-optimized version that sounds like everyone else. The messy, handwritten, straight-from-the-heart kind that bypasses all the mental chatter.

I write with a pen on paper because it's a direct connection to my heart. No autocorrect smoothing out my personality. No algorithm telling me what sounds "professional." Just me, being gloriously imperfect and saucy.

Here's the thing everyone's afraid to admit: weird is memorable.

While everyone else is desperately polishing their thoughts until they're indistinguishable from AI-generated content, the rough edges are where the good stuff lives. The unexpected connections. The thoughts that make people stop scrolling.

Most people are terrified of feeling real. What if they sound strange? What if they're not perfectly curated?

But strange cuts through the noise. Real builds connection. Authentic creates trust.

In a world where AI can handle iterations and structure (hello, decision fatigue elimination!), what becomes precious is the stuff that can't be computed: your weird perspective, your lived experience, your willingness to be imperfectly you.

The practice is simple: Keep showing up as yourself, even when it's uncomfortable. Especially when it's uncomfortable.

Write by hand. Think out loud. Share the quirky details. Be the person who isn't afraid to sound like... well, you.

Because here's what I know for sure: the world doesn't need another polished, perfect, algorithm-friendly voice.

It needs more saucy, real, unapologetically authentic humans.

Speaking of saucy — my absolute favorite is Michael's of Brooklyn Marinara. Three generations of family-owned authenticity, made in small batches with imported Italian tomatoes and fresh basil. No artificial ingredients, no added sugar, just that vibrant taste of a summer visit to Southern Italy.

Even your sauce choices should have personality. And heritage. And that chunky, homemade realness that can't be mass-produced.

Stay weird. Stay real. The world needs it.

With love,
Yourself ✨
